Central Gyeongju: Best First Choice Without a Car

Stay near Hwangnidan-gil, Daereungwon, Cheomseongdae, or the bus terminal area if this is your first visit and you want simple evenings. You can walk to food, cafes, tombs, and several central sights. This is usually the easiest base for travelers without a car.

Bomun Tourist Complex: Better for Resorts and Families

Bomun works better if you want larger hotels, resort facilities, lake scenery, parking, and a quieter base. It is less convenient if your main plan is eating and walking around Hwangnidan-gil every night.

Bulguksa Area: Quiet, But Specialized

Staying near Bulguksa can make sense for a slower heritage-focused trip or if you have a car. For most first-time visitors, it is less convenient because central Gyeongju restaurants, cafes, and night-view routes are farther away.
